Club evenings on Fridays 3
About this list
Friday is the evening when adults find a board most easily. Hetman GKS Katowice keeps an adult evening at the Szopienice culture centre, with dates set month by month and beginners and intermediate players welcome. In Zabrze, the Szach Mat club calls its Friday evenings Grające piątki: an open evening for everyone in the club room on ul. Niedziałkowskiego, or a round of its Creative Chess Grand Prix.
In Jaworzno the Friday session of the MCKiS chess section belongs to its more advanced players, in the chess room of the sports hall on ul. Grunwaldzka 80, where the city Grand Prix is also played on selected Fridays. Exact hours and any changes of room are on each entry, taken from the clubs’ own timetables for the current school year.
