Chess in Czeladź 12

About this list

For a small town, Czeladź keeps a remarkably full chess year. The Forteca club on ul. Niepodległości 1A plays weekend tournaments for norms and categories in its own rooms, and the MOSiR sports hall on ul. Sportowa 2 hosts the winter festival between Christmas and New Year, a St Nicholas rapid for children and a tournament for the end of the winter break.

In summer the play moves outdoors and into town: Przystań Grabek on ul. Legionów 119 holds the late-evening Czeladź by night rounds of bullet and blitz, the Te Klimaty restaurant on ul. Wojkowicka hosts the summer festival in late July, and the garden of Cafe Desa on the market square is the scene of the memorial to Andrzej Wesołowski every 15 August. The Dom Szilo tournament comes in October, and the town’s school league visits a different school each round.
